Songs & Hymns

Blessed be the Name of the Lord

(Praise, General)
This lively song uses Old Testament pictures of God to remind us that he cares for us. Try adding actions to the chorus: put your hands together in a point over your head for 'strong tower', run on the spot when singing 'The righteous run into it' and on the word 'saved' hold both hands in the air with palms upward.

Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be the name of the Lord,
Blessed be the name of the Lord Most High!
(Repeat)

The name of the Lord is a strong tower,
The righteous run into it,
And they are saved.
(Repeat)

Glory to the name of the Lord,
Glory to the name of the Lord,
Glory to the name of the Lord Most High!
(Repeat)

The name of the Lord is a strong tower,
The righteous run into it,
And they are saved.
(Repeat)

Holy is the name of the Lord,
Holy is the name of the Lord,
Holy is the name of the Lord Most High!
(Repeat)

The name of the Lord is a strong tower,
The righteous run into it,
And they are saved.
(Repeat)
