Songs & Hymns

Holy, Holy, Holy Lord

(Sanctus, Praise)
These words are often known by their Latin titles 'Sanctus' & 'Benedictus'. They are often sung during the Eucharistic Prayer which is said in preparation for communion. In the 'Sanctus', the worshippers join with the angels in praising God with these words. Here they are set to music written by the German composer Schubert.

Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might,
Holy, holy, holy Lord,
God of power and might.

Heaven and earth are full,
Full of your glory,
Hosanna in the highest,
Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes
In the name of the Lord,
Hosanna in the highest,
Hosanna in the highest.
